| Two of our very own Stockton Monarcas FC Aztec Warriors players had the chance to play with an international team at the Thanksgiving Surf Cup held recently in San Diego. The team was Brisbane Athletic from Australia and Alex Gonzalez and Hector Grajeda had the opportunity to train and play with this excellent team that made the trip around the world for the love of the game and attended this event which is considered one of the best Tournaments in the Nation. We would like to thank Zee Soccer Academy and Coaches Zoltan and Greg for making our boys feel right at home. We hope to see them again soon. We wish Brisbane Athletic the best of luck in the future! Attended by USSF National Team staff, Regional Training Camps are part of US Club Soccer’s id2 national player identification and development program, providing an opportunity for the country’s top youth talent to be identified and developed for inclusion in U.S. Soccer’s National Team programs. From the id2 player pool, qualified players with National Team potential are invited to one of three id2 Regional Training Camps, which bring together the nation’s top male and female youth players for four days of competition, evaluation and fun. U.S. Soccer National Team staff as well as other elite coaches and players attend id2 Training Camps. In addition to the on-field sessions, id2 Training Camps feature guest speakers, lectures/classroom sessions and other offerings, which make for a complete experience. | Congratulations to Stockton Monarcas FC Aztec Warriors for a fantastic weekend in which they defeated some of the top teams in Cal North in the Quarter Final Saturday and then again Sunday in the Semifinal to advance to the Final being played February 12th at the Woodland Community Park in the City of Woodland at 1:30pm. The Championship game is against the Stockton Storm FC which is another U13 team here in the City that had a great State Cup run and earned a spot in the Final. Without a doubt the Championship is coming to Stockton either way. The Semifinal was a hard fought game in which our team came our on Top thanks to a continued attack by the midfielders and forwards and sound defense and goalkeeping in the back. The Warriors have once again proven why they are at the top of the State and National Rankings. Congratulations to the players and Coaches for a fantastic job! Good luck in the Final!! | Congratulations to our U13 Team, Stockton Monarcas FC Aztec Warriors for bringing to our City and our Club the 2010 Norcal State Cup. To place First out of so many teams that sign up for State Cup is truly special and the boys have made our entire City and our Soccer Club very proud. The team played a great Final and won by a score of 1-0 over the Stockton Storm Premier 98 thanks to a goal by Jareth Guzman in the 15th minute of the second half. The crowd erupted with joy as the goal was scored and then superb defending and goalkeeping kept the score in favor of the Warriors to finish out the game and come home Champions. The boys rode home in style as a limo had been reserved for them and the entire team had a great time cruising home from Sacramento and then around Stockton with the State Cup on hand. They received lots of love from people here in City that saw them pass by. This team has once again proven why they are the Top Team in Northern California and one of the very best teams in the entire Nation. Congratulations to the Coaches Mike Guzman and Vicente Bravo along with Team Managers Benjamin Gonzalez and Moises Grajeda and Team Trainer Richard Mendoza. | Stockton Monarcas FC Teams traveled this past weekend to Las Vegas to represent our Club in one of the largest event in the Nation that drew teams from all over the world. SMFC Aztec Warriors won the Telemundo flight which had some incredible competition from all around the Country and was worth 10,000 ranking points. Due to the Warrior's already high ranking they were only awarded 5,000 points but it was enough to catapult them to #1 in the Nation once again. SMFC Flames took home the Adidas Championship and also received a good amount of points to help them climb in the State and National rankings. The Flames scored an impressive 26 goals in favor and received only 2 goals against. SMFC Inter 99 did well but did not advance out of group play after winning one game, tying another and loosing a third game. Congratulations to the teams and we wish you the best of luck in the future. SMFC Aztec Warriors gano el Telemundo flight que tenia una competencia grande con los mejores equipos de la Nacion presentes. | Congratulations to our SMFC Teams that recently traveled to Boise Idaho to participate in the US Club Soccer National Cup Finals. Our teams did a fantastic job and both teams represented our Club well. SMFC Aztec Warriors (U14 boys) advanced to the Semifinal match after going undefeated and with 3 shut-outs in Group Play. They lost the Semifinal to Tuzos from Arizona who eventually became National Champions. Great job boys! We are certain that we will see many more good things from both of these teams. |

| Our U14 team Stockton Monarcas FC Aztec Warriors Team recently traveled to San Diego to participate in the Nation's #1 ranked tournament the San Diego Surf Cup. The experience was great and the competition level was fantastic as one would expect from such a huge event that draws teams from all over the Nation and even The Warriors did not advance out of group play but played great soccer and demonstrated by being a contender in each of their games vs some of the best teams in the Nation that they were worthy of the invitation to such an event. The team plans on being back at Surf Cup next year and we wish them the best of luck! Nuestro equipo U14 Stockton Monarcas FC Aztec Warriors recientemente viajo a San Diego para participar en el Torneo rankeado #1 de la Nacion el Surf Cup. Fue una gran experiencia para nuestros jovenes y el nivel de futbol fue fantastico que es lo que se espera de un evento de esta magnitud que atrae equipos de todo el Pais y tambien equipos Internacionales. | Congratulations to Stockton Monarcas FC Teams who had an excellent run in our very own Champions Cup 2011 which is now ranked among the best Tournaments in the entire Nation. There were over 170 teams in attendance including several out of State teams. Our SMFC Aztec Warriors and SMFC Inter99 won their respective flights after defeating some of the top teams in the Nation on their way to the Final. The Aztec Warriors defeated top ranked PAC San Jose Indios in a great Semifinal match on their way to a 3-1 win over Santa Clara Sporting in the Final. SMFC Inter 99 had a great run scoring 24 goals in favor in 5 games played including the Final 2-1 win over top ranked America USA 99. SMFC United U11 and SMFC Cruz Azul U16 took 2nd place honors after a great weekend of soccer by their squads in this prestigious event. We congratulate our teams and wish them the best of luck in the future. | Arturo Marquez Jr. a long time member of our Club and SMFC Aztec Warriors Team passed away last weekend at the young age of 14. Arturo played with our SMFC Aztec Warriors team since he was very young and will forever be remembered by everyone in our Club and of course his former teammates. He was the team Captain and a leader on one of the most successful teams ever in the Central Valley and Northern California. The team won several State and Regional Championships and attended the National Championships in 2011 as the #1 ranked team in the Nation at the time. Our condolences go out to his family. |

| Congratulations to our Stockton Monarcas FC Aztec Warriors U14 team for once again making it all the way to the Final in the Las Vegas Mayors Cup International Showcase. Teams from all over the world where in attendance at this event. The team had an incredible run winning 5 straight games and allowing only 1 goal in those 5 games on their way to the Final. They lost the Final after tying in regulation and going to overtime and penalty kicks vs the Las Vegas team. We are proud of the boys having made 2 trips to the Finals in which they have walked away with one Championship (back in September) and this time the team took 2nd place. Go Warriors!! |

| State Cup. The team advanced there after defeating some of the best teams in Cal North and earning a spot in the Final. The Championship game was a roller coaster ride for sure. The Warriors jumped ahead 2-0 in the first half then lost the lead and the game in overtime to Juventus Heat. This is the second straight appearance in the Finals by this great team and after their win in 2011 a second place finish this time is something to be proud of. The team continues to prove they are one of the best in the State and the Nation. Congratulations and good luck in the future! | Congratulations to our U15 boys SMFC Aztec Warriors for being invited to the US Club Soccer National Championship in Chicago Illinois. The team had a fantastic run at Regionals and after making it to the Regional Championship game they were invited to play at Nationals. While in Chicago the team advanced to the Semifinal match at Nationals in a game which they lost to the eventual National Champions. The boys represented Northern fantastic event. Good luck boys! El equipo fue invitado despues de tener un gran papel en el torneo Regional y avanzar a la Final del Regional. | Congratulations to our U15 boys SMFC Aztec Warriors for being invited and participating in the 2012 San Diego Surf Cup. It is a great honor to play in this event that hosts over 300 of the top teams in the Nation and also many international teams. Our boys played well but did not advance out of group play but not without beating one of Southern California's the Arsenal FC team. The picture above was taken after this game in which the boys played in front of many college scouts front center of the complex where many came to watch a game between two of the best teams in the Nation. | We would like to congratulate our SMFC Teams for a great performance this past weekend in our very own top ranked event the Champions Cup 2012. The event was a huge success for our Club and it's teams. A total of 27 Championships were awarded with record breaking attendance of nearly 200 teams. The points awarded to teams attending were some of the highest in the Nation this year and even our own teams benefited from this including several of our SMFC Teams which moved higher up the State and National rankings. SMFC Aztec Warriors U15 boys posted an unprecented third straight victory at the Champions Cup. With prior victories in 2010 and 2011 the team has once again demonstrated it's dominance in their age group. SMFC Flames U14 boys walked away with 6000 points after winning the Championship to move up to the #7 spot in the Nation and #2 in the State. SMFC 2000 U12 boys placed second in their age group and walked away with nearly 4000 points to move to #16 in the Nation and #6 in the State. SMFC AC Milan U10 boys won the Championship in the Premier group of the Champions Cup 2012. SMFC 96 U16 boys placed 2nd in the Premier Group of the Champions Cup 2012. SMFC Barca U16 boys placed as Finalist in the Gold group of the Champions Cup 2012. |
